Radar vs GummySearch

GummySearch shut down. This page is for people still searching the name.

GummySearch was how a lot of founders researched subreddits and pain points. It closed November 30, 2025 after Reddit API pricing made the economics fail. Radar is not a GummySearch clone. It will not rebuild your saved audiences or topic clusters. It will put scored threads and a paste-ready draft in front of you. If you miss GummySearch the research tool, say that out loud — Radar is the reply tool that came after.

Radar is for

People who already know the subs and want replies, not another research archive.

GummySearch is for

Nobody new. Existing users were told to export before data deletion (reported as November 30, 2026).

I still paste every reply myself

I built Radar because Hunt plus a pasted reply on Reddit is how I actually reach people. I run it on ColorHer (photo restoration) and SHIP FM (startup radio). Radar never posts. I copy the draft, open the thread, and paste under my own name. Help-only when pitching would be spam. Founder disclosure when the product belongs in the reply.

I'm selling this because I can see it helping me get seen — and paid. OPs answer. People check the FM. A first customer showed up. I am not going to invent a round number for you.

The tools on this page that auto-post or buy accounts are a different job. I flinch at that, so Radar stops at the draft. I still paste by hand. That is the product.

The loop is public: @robsannazzaro on X.

What they have that we don't

  • Audience research

Subreddit discovery, pain-point clustering, demand research. That was the job.

  • A large installed base

Reports put users well into six figures. The gap it left is real.

What Radar holds onto

  • A live Hunt

Threads from the last stretch, scored, with a draft attached.

  • Mentions

A site-wide name scan when someone already said the product.

Job to be done

GummySearch. Understand the market on Reddit. Find communities and repeating complaints.

Radar. Show up in a specific thread, today, with a reply you will stand behind.

Do not hire Radar to replace a research notebook. Hire it to stop hunting threads by hand.

Price

Gone. Base plan was commonly cited around $48/month while it lived.

Free for 10 copied replies, then €19/month flat — under half the old GummySearch bill, for the reply workflow instead of the research one.

Their product changes. We read public pages on gummysearch.com/ in September 2026 and did not sign up to every dashboard. If something here is stale, that is on us — email and we will fix it.
